It was like any morning for Blaine Anderson. Wake up, iron his dress shirt and slacks. Shower, and gel back his hair to its usual design. His eyes sparkling at the thought of a new day of Warbler practice. Something seemed a bit off to the teen. He fixed his tie and slipped on his blazer. He heard a bang outside, instead of the usual chatter of young boys.
He stared at the door, walking up to it slowly. He smiled hoping it was some joke Thad and Jeff were playing on him.  He slowly walked up to the door, twisting the golden knob, slowing peeking outside. What he saw shocked him beyond recognition.
Jeff was at his own dorm staring at Dave’s facedown body, some of the flesh in his throat and face missing. It didn’t look shot, no, it was torn and bitten shamelessly. Ripped from it place.  He looked up at Blaine in a fear he had never feared before.  He sucked his breathe and wanted to actually check if his friend was okay. He didn’t want to think but he was sure there was something around. He didn’t, couldn’t comprehend it was the living dead.
“Jeff!” the other called gesturing to come to his dorm, so they can make an escape plan. The blonde looked at him and then the corpse his body sweating with fear and slight nervousness. He tosses off his blazer and throws it at Dave, tears dripping from his eyes. He cannot cry for long, he had to hold on to his emotions for that one moment in time.
Blaine put a reassuring hand on his shoulder and turned around putting on a brave face. Jeff stares at Dave, silent as ever. He watched until the door was fully closed, not noticing the corpse twitch and red eyes open ravenously, hungry. He stood slowly staring at the door, he then saw a young Dalton boy step out of his room. Growling slowly he limped his way to the boy, getting him before he could scream.
Blaine comforted Jeff, until they both heard a bloody scream. It was a scream of pain, soon turning bubbly sounding and choked as fresh blood filled the victims mouth and lungs. In a small bout of bravery Blaine stepped out and the world twisted around him. It was Kurt beautiful and graceful as ever. His hair immaculate, his skin pale, smooth as marble. Yet his usually blue eyes were a bloody, starved red. Veins and tendrils surrounded those usually pieceful eyes. No snarky remark would any long come from that mouth. His mouth cover in the blood of a freshman, his teeth red and covered in gore. The tomato red substance dripped from full lips, he stood up. He was just dead. He was fresh; rigor mortis had yet to set in. Dave was missing from his spot, Blaine gasped in shock. This couldn’t be happening, no Blaine couldn’t believe it.
Kurt looked up smelling fresh, alive meat.   He smiled, as if he were still intelligent,  still human. Yet what came out of his mouth wasn’t what Blaine expected. Not the melodious sound of his saprano and giggles. The smooth voice that often pierced through his very being was butchered but a curdling scream of hunger and instinctual desire. He ran to him and Blaine’s eyes widened in a fear he’d never felt before.Yet instead of adreneline making him faster and more efficient he froze staring at his love run to him.
What fight did the short man have? Would he and Jeff stay here until death eased its way slowly through dehydration and starvation? Or would they let the zombies kill them and become one of their kin. It’s as if life went in slow motion, Jeff shouting behind Blaine frantically telling him to close the door, close to hysteria and sobbing. He does so leaving the boy in the room on his own. Jeff leans against the door eyes wide, red, and swollen with tears. He knows his time is coming soon. He falls down and hugs his knees, hearing the events outside.
He stares at Kurt as he starts to stiffen and slow down. Tears slipped down his face ashamed that he never told Kurt. “I love you, Kurt.” He whispered, but the monster didn’t twitch. He knocked the warbler to floor and stared at him. Blaine hugged him, and screamed feeling the neck in his flesh being bit in unforgivingly. He cried watching as Kurt pulled and chewed. His vision blurred and those last few seconds were the best in his life. He was dying with the man he loved and will now spend the rest of his life with him like he always wanted to.
